The DMC AMR Club is a student-led organization at Devdaha Medical College and Research Institute, founded in 2024. The club was established following the Youth Against AMR Club Campaign and is officially registered with the National Youth Coalition for Antimicrobial Resistance (NYC-AMR). The club's primary focus is to actively combat and raise awareness about antimicrobial resistance.
On August 2, 2025, the DMC AMR Club, with technical support of Devdaha Medical College and Research Institute, successfully conducted a community outreach event under master project
"PROJECT: AMR VOICE."
The program was held in collaboration with the Sanjeevni Aama Samuha in Tilottama-12, Rupandehi, and saw the enthusiastic participation of nearly 43 community members.
The event included a variety of engaging and informative sessions, such as:
- Real-life case studies of antimicrobial resistance (AMR) through storytelling.
- An informative session dedicated to raising awareness about AMR. * An awareness session on the importance of breastfeeding.
-A lesson on the preparation, importance, and storage of sarbottam pitho.
- Blood pressure monitoring for all participants.
The event was a great success, with all participants showing a keen interest in the topics covered. The programme was skillfully coordinated by: Deepa Neupane , Shikshya Neupane , Monika Mega and Subodh Bhatta
On 5 March 2025,A comprehensive session on proper handwashing , including practical demonstrations, was successfully conducted at Baijnath Basic School in Kanchanpur. 🦠 🦠
The session emphasized the critical role of proper hand hygiene in preventing infections and mitigating the risk of antimicrobial resistance. 🦠 💊💊

On 3rd of May , 2025, The DMC AMR Club, with technical support of Devdaha Medical College and Research Institute, successfully held its first community outreach event under "PROJECT: AMR VOICE." The program was organized in collaboration with the Kunwarwati Mahila Jagaran Samuha in Tilottama-11, Rupandehi, engaging nearly 30 participants.
The event featured:
* A drama raising awareness about Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR)
* An informative session on AMR
* Blood pressure measurements for the participants.

Our club proudly congratulates Our club member Aman Yadav on his outstanding success! His video has been recognized among the top 10 in the Project Pulse Video Competition, a distinction awarded by NYC-AMR and the AMR Club of PHE.
AMR and Environment
On June 5, 2025 "WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY" 🌲 🌍
Our club successfully conducted an important session with title, "AMR and Environment" A session focusing on the environmental aspects of antimicrobial resistance (AMR) was held in Kanchanrup-8, Saptari, with 48 participants in attendance." The session was very successful and was expertly coordinated by our President: Aarab Tiwari
On 20th February 2025 , The walk the talk was organized in presence of Mr. Madhusudan Kaphle (Founder, Nymat Nepal) and Ms. Sadikshya Sapkota (President, Nymat Nepal) The walk the talk was conducted around the devdaha medical college area involving youths of devdaha medical college .The event was overall a great success
on 1st march 2025 work shop was sucessfully conducted in Devdaha medical College on AMR on the inititation of Nymat Nepal. Thanks to our patron Mr. Madhusudan Kaphle and President of Nymat Nepal Miss.Sadikshya Sapkota for making this event happen, Grace presence of members of the Dmc Amr Club added a spark. On December 6, 2025, the DMC AMR CLUB officially launched its New initiative
"COMMUNITY CONNECT."
The inaugural session took place in Tillotama-6, Rupandehi, drawing a group of 21 engaged participants, including local residents and Female Community Health Volunteers (FCHVs).
The program focused on raising awareness about Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) and the Red Line Campaign. The event was a resounding success, characterized by insightful reflections and active community participation. The idea was introduced and session was skillfully coordinated by two of our creative and hardworking members: Jyoti Pandey & Subheksha Bhandari
"Collaborative World AIDS Day Rally "
On December 1, World AIDS Day, the DMC AMR Club joined hands with the Rotaract Club of Devdaha Medical College as a supportive partner for an awareness rally.
This successful and productive event engaged students and faculty from multiple batches, alongside hospital staff, to raise awareness.
